Devon House, a restored nineteenth-century mansion, is famous island-wide for its ice cream and gives a glimpse of Jamaica’s plantation-era architecture. The nearby Bob Marley statue and Emancipation Park anchor the city’s public spaces with green lawns and fountains. In the Blue Mountains just outside the city, coffee farms offer tours through the terraced hillsides that produce some of the world’s most prized beans. Kingston’s music, art, and food scene make it the island’s most culturally rich stop.
