Inema Arts Center showcases contemporary Rwandan painting and sculpture in a gallery space that also hosts community art workshops. Kigali’s cleanliness, partly the result of a nationwide plastic bag ban and monthly community clean-up days, gives the city an unusually tidy feel among African capitals. It serves as the natural gateway before heading into Rwanda’s national parks to track mountain gorillas.
