Born in Texas, Mark Rice has spent the last 35 years of his life in Illinois. A man of vision and insight, for nearly two decades Mark has served as an executive in the energy sector, the last 15 of which have been as the CEO of Energy CX. A firm that concentrates on the sale and management of a broad range of energy sources, under Mark’s able leadership Energy CX has become a leader in providing energy solutions to businesses across the country and has grown to employ 70 employees.
Outside of his undertakings in the business world, Mark has occupied his time with philanthropic work. Committed to humankind, Mark’s charitable contributions are extensive and comprise faith-based, urban, and cultural institutions. Among the beneficiaries of his benevolence are the Jewish Community Center of Chicago, Camp Apache, and Project Interchange. A master builder, Mr. Rice’s entry into the political sphere presumes a unity of purpose among constituents. At the fore of his campaign to represent the best interests of residents of the 8th Congressional District is restoring America’s promise, economic growth, fiscal discipline, tax relief, immigration reform, and border security. Married to wife Ellen, Mark is a father of four.
