Donald John Trump, born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, is an American businessman, television personality, and politician. He rose to prominence as a real estate magnate in New York City, where he developed and branded various properties, including the iconic Trump Tower. Trump’s career in the business world was marked by both successes and setbacks, but his name became synonymous with luxury and opulence.

In 2016, Donald Trump entered the political arena and won the Republican nomination for the presidency. His campaign style resonated with a significant portion of the American electorate, and he secured an unexpected victory in the 2016 presidential election, becoming the 45th President of the United States.   During his presidency, Trump pursued a conservative agenda, which included tax cuts, deregulation, and the appointment of conservative judges.  He faced impeachment twice by the House of Representatives but was acquitted by the Senate on both occasions.

After leaving office in January 2021, President Trump remained an influential figure in American politics and maintained a strong following within the Republican Party. In November 2022, he announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination in the 2024 presidential election and – as of 9/17/23 – has a stronghold leading (with a significant portion) in most political polls, and with strong support from the GOP base.
