Experts in cyber security and disinformation
In a hyper-connected world, the risk of cyber-attacks and breaches of digital domains and data is skyrocketing.

Cybersecurity expert teams will be augmented with disinformation scholars to ensure privacy and security for all.

"There are currently 'troll farms' spreading misinformation on social media platforms and we will need trained people to understand what is fake and how to stop it," says the British futurist.

These jobs are predicted to be the highest paying in organizations in the late 2030s and throughout the 2040s.

In the best place to start are software developers, data and business analysts, database administrators, trainers and artificial intelligence engineers, experts in the field of cyber security.

Healthcare professionals for biohacking
Longevity looks likely to become a key goal for the ultra-rich, with the average age of those earning more than £10 million reaching around 130 years.

This perspective focuses on the practice of so-called biohacking, using implantable technologies, nutrition, supplements, medical procedures and stem cell injections.

"There will be specialist hospitals with enthusiastic doctors, nurses, surgeons, research and development for everything to ensure longer life for those who can afford it," predicts Badminton.

"The aging population also means that there will be a high demand for carers and nurses," she points out.

The field is open to doctors, nurses, surgeons, physiotherapists, nutritionists. Their evolution in this direction is said to involve a combination of traditional medicine for a range of specialties, with technology. "In the future," argues Badminton, "if you're super rich and want to live forever, we'll be able to do that too"…

Data scientists and brokers
"By 2040, data will be created at a rate of more than 200 petabytes per year, with more than 8,000 digital data interactions per person each day: one every 10 seconds or so," Badminton points out.

As we begin to gain more power over the data we generate and take our online identities more seriously, it is predicted that we will find ourselves in a position of choice to leverage it, even with the potential to monetize it, such as e.g. is done today by participating in drug trials.

So "Personal Data Brokerage" professionals and companies will emerge. Forerunners of these could be today's software developers, data and business analysts, database administrators, artificial intelligence trainers and engineers.
