Will Hurd, a notable figure in American politics, is recognized as a steadfast leader with a unique blend of experiences in both the public and private sectors. He was born on August 19, 1977, in San Antonio, Texas, and has spent his life dedicated to the service of his community and his country. Hurd holds a Computer Science degree from Texas A&M University, where he served as Student Body President. His academic foundation would go on to inform much of his professional life, blending tech expertise with political acumen.
Hurd embarked on his career in public service at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), working as an operations officer in the Middle East and South Asia. This international experience equipped him with a deep understanding of global affairs, and he used this knowledge during his nine years at the CIA to navigate complex geopolitical landscapes. Post-CIA, he leveraged his technological expertise in a senior advisory role at a cybersecurity firm, solidifying his reputation as a leader at the intersection of technology and security.
In 2014, Hurd entered the political arena and was elected to represent Texas’s 23rd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives.
