Kinshasa
Kinshasa is formerly known as Léopoldville and the best cities in Democratic Republic of Congo. Kinshasa is the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo is also the largest city of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The city is located alongside the Congo River. Kinshasa is now an estimated population of more than 11 million. It faces the capital of the neighboring Republic of the Congo, Brazzaville which can be seen in the distance across the wide Congo River. The city of Kinshasa is one of the country’s 26 provinces. Because the administrative boundaries of the city-province cover a vast area, over 90 percent of the city provinces’ land is rural in nature, and the urban area occupies a small but expanding section on the western side.
Kisangani
Kisangani is formerly known as Stanleyville and considered in the top cities in Democratic Republic Of Congo. Kisangani is the third-largest city in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This country completely lies within the tropical forest. Kisangani has fantastic local restaurants and great shopping. It’s also famous for its striking architecture and surprisingly makes a popular convention destination. Be sure to check out the many museums, botanical gardens, and zoo. The Rasaire of Notre-Dame Cathedral in the Central market is particularly appealing to visitors.
Tshikapa
Tshikapa is the capital of Kasai, a province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and, a favorite city in Democratic Republic of Congo. The city is located about 190 km west of province capital Kananga and 64 km north of the Angolan border and at the confluence of the Tshikapa and Kasai rivers. The population of the city has grown from 38,900 in 1970 to 180,900 in 1994, according to records published by the Utrecht University Library. Tn the early 20th century, Tshikapa has been a site of diamond mining. The city was founded by Forminière, an American/Belgian mining consortium that discovered diamonds near this location in the early 1900s. Tshikapa has the densest source of satellite phone communications in the world due to the exploitation of the diamond mines, outside post-war Iraq.
Lubumbashi
Lubumbashi, the 2nd city of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the regional capital of Katanga province, has much to offer its visitors and residents alike. Lubumbashi has a population of around 2 million people and famous cities in Democratic Republic Of Congo. This city is a happening place to be with much development currently taking place. Lubumbashi is great city to discover. This beautiful city has also much to offer its residents, investors, and visitors. Whilst parts of Congo continue to face unrest Lubumbashi remains a secure and calm place to enjoy life.
Bukavu
If you want to see cities to visit in Democratic Republic Of Congo, come to Bukavu. It is located along the gorgeously contorted shoreline at the southern tip of Lake Kivu. Bukavu is a friendly and pleasant city that boasts some of DRCongos’s most attractive architecture, although this is best seen from the water. Bukavu is also the base for visiting the Parc National de Kahuzi-Biéga, Virunga’s little-known neighbor, where you can track habituated eastern lowland gorillas at relatively low prices
Mbuji-Mayi
Mbuji-Mayi is the capital of the Kasai-Oriental province and has 1,680,991 people inhabiting the city. The cities name itself means “Goat Water”, stemming from the simple fact that the located of the city is near the ideal water hole for the goat population. Despite being large relatively to the other cities, it remains quite remote having little connection to cities like Kinshasa nad Lubumbashi and other provinces. The area around this city is one of richest sources of minerals in the world. This city is the source of plenty of the world’s diamonds.
